I love developing and playing video games, have a passion for all types of art (in particular 3d video games art) and enjoy watching mma and boxing.
I have always been an artistic individual, constantly possessing the urge to design and create ever since I could pick up a pencil. During school and college I continued to improve my skills with traditional media and came to the decision by the age of eighteen that I either wanted to be a tattoo or games artist.
I became a tattoo apprenticeship in 2009 and worked in that field until late 2010, when I decided I wanted to follow my true passion; video games art. I began studying on the Train2Game art and animation course in January 2011, learning to create game assets primarily using 3ds Max and Photoshop.
In January 2013 I took the decision to depart the Train2Game course and go it alone, as I was finding it more beneficial to spend my valuable study time to learn in the areas of environment and prop art from various other sources.
I am currently on a three month work placement at Neon Play, working on an unannounced title.
Thanks for taking some time to read this and look through my work. I hope you enjoy browsing jamieread3d.co.uk.
